The Owasso Character Council’s annual Character Luncheon celebrates the power of character in shaping our community. It’s a time to recognize the values we share, honor those who live them out, and raise funds for the Council’s ongoing work—including our annual $5,000 scholarship.

This year’s special guest, Sophie Preston, is an executive advisor and leadership strategist with Solomon Strategic Advisors. She holds a Master’s in Organizational Leadership, is certified in leadership and personality tools such as Myers-Briggs and GiANT Worldwide, and has extensive experience leading learning and development teams and serving at the executive level in human capital. Sophie equips leaders across sectors to lead with clarity, courage, and compassion.

Her message draws on lived experience, including fostering at-risk youth, where she witnessed the power of small, intentional choices to change lives. She shares a powerful personal story about providing respite foster care for a homeless teenager, and how simple moments—like cooking together—built trust, connection, and hope. Through these real-life experiences, Sophie invites attendees to reflect on the spaces they influence and to identify one area where they can “flip the switch” from accidental to intentional living.
